Information I collect and what I do with it
I follow a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
If you contact me directly via email, I may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send me, and any other information you may choose to provide. I will never send this information to third parties without your approval in advance.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. To know more detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers, it can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.
I have integrated Google Analytics on this website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service and collects data like from which website you came before visiting Jane’s Casa (so-called referrers), which subpages of this website you visited or how often and for which period of time a (sub)page was viewed. I mainly use this web analysis to optimize this website and for the cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising.
You may prevent the collection of the data generated by the Google Analytics cookie by downloading and installing the following browser plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
